Manufacture: Emre Telli makes his leather products by hand - from the first cut to the last needle stitch. He uses traditional craft techniques and tools that consume less energy than mass production. As a result, his production is inherently sustainable and each of his products is a unique one-off that ages gracefully with its user and immortalizes its personal history in the form of a beautiful patina. Traditional craftsmanship outlasts short-lived trends. The leather is a full-grain and vegetable-tanned leather that is lovingly lovingly handcrafted by a family-run tannery in the heart of Tuscany. Vacchetta vegetable tanned leather is known worldwide for its natural finish, luxuriously smooth texture and unsurpassed durability. The tannery belongs to the Genuine "Consorzio Vera Pelle Italiana Conciata al Vegetale" an association of tanneries committed to traditional and ecologically sustainable production methods. The leather is also certified by the Leather Working Group (LWG), an international organization that evaluates the environmental compatibility and performance of the leather industry. This means that the leather is not only of the highest quality, but is also ethically sourced.
Emre chooses his fittings carefully and sources them locally where possible. Most of his materials come from just two countries: Italy and Germany. For zippers and sewing threads, he relies on quality manufacturers. One industry-leading manufacturer of hand sewing threads, known for its durability and quality, comes from northern Germany, very close to Emre's studio in Hamburg.
Real patina: Emre's products become more beautiful with each passing day. The vegetable-tanned and full-grain leather from Tuscany develops a natural patina over time. It is an essential part of the natural ageing process that makes the leather product even more beautiful. The patina, the unmistakable sign of quality, gives the product its unique character and tells a very personal story. The ability to age is a unique trademark of high-quality leather. Scratches or stains are part of the process and will no longer bother you after a short time. This natural ageing makes uncoated leather very robust and easy to handle in the long term.
