      Anne Andersson spans the gap between classic craftsmanship and modern graphics. Her work can be described with numerous adjectives such as contemporary, timeless, experimental and sustainable. Her focus is on the design and development of practical everyday fabrics and home accessories made of linen, linen blends and wool.

      Anne Andersson was born in North Friesland in 1963 and grew up there. From 1983 to 1986, she completed her training as a hand weaver with Annedore Iwersen in Flensburg and spent her apprenticeship in Flensburg and Hamburg until 1990. In 1990 she passed the HWK Hamburg master craftsman's examination. Since 1990, Anne Andersson has been running her own workshop, known as "Textil für den Innenraum" in 1993 and as "Leinengewebe zwischen Experiment und Alltagstauglichkeit" since 2006. In addition to her workshop, she has held various teaching positions at the HWK Hamburg and HAW Hamburg. In 2008, she founded her brand "ELBLINNEN - Handgewebe aus Leinen". Since 2023, she has also supported Birkenhof Neetze, a weaving workshop for people with disabilities, through her work.

      Anne Andersson's award-winning works are exhibited in museums and regularly featured in exhibitions. She has lived and worked in Bleckede/Elbe since 1998.
