About the object: Toshi Iwashiro's Japanese wall vase made of light, fireclay-colored clay is approx. 40 cm high and 3.5 cm deep and wide. It can be hung on the wall like a picture, is waterproof and therefore suitable for both fresh and dried flowers or branches. Very Japanese, very restrained, very beautiful.
Manufacturing process: Toshi Iwashiro's Japanese wall vase is made using the Tatara process. Tatara is a method of shaping clay slabs by bending or joining them together on a board or flat surface. The vase is double-fired and not glazed.
