Grassimesse Leipzig 2025 - A festival of design, art and crafts
We were there! We left very early on Saturday morning and returned on Sunday evening. It was an exciting 2 days on site, we were able to talk to many interesting artists and saw some wonderful works.
From October 24 to 26, 2025, the GRASSI Museum of Applied Arts in Leipzig once again opened its doors for the traditional Grassimesse - one of the most important sales platforms for contemporary arts and crafts and design in Europe. The fair took place for the 105th time and attracted design lovers, art enthusiasts and creative people from all over the world.
An international showcase of design
Around 140 artists and designers from eleven countries in Europe and Asia presented their work at 80 exhibition stands. The selection was made by an expert jury, which chose the exhibitors from over 290 applications according to criteria such as artistic quality, independence and innovative spirit.
The range of exhibited works was impressive:
- Jewelry and accessories
- Ceramics and porcelain
- Fashion and textiles
- Furniture made of wood, metal, glass and paper
- ...
The combination of contemporary exhibits with the museum's cultural-historical collections was particularly exciting - a dialog between past and present that amazed visitors.
Atmosphere and experience
The exhibition took place in the light-flooded Art Deco pillar hall, the spacious foyers and even in the permanent exhibition "Antiquity to Historicism". This special interior design gave the event a unique atmosphere that invited visitors to linger, discover and exchange ideas.
Visitors were not only able to purchase works of art, but also talk directly to the designers - an experience that makes the Grassimesse so special.
