About the object: We offer Yumiko Shimoya's bowls in 4 sizes. The classic shape of these bowls made of Japanese clay looks extremely elegant thanks to the Shinogi decoration. The brightly glazed bowl can be used in a variety of ways - for eating as well as for storing beautiful things. The bowls are extremely decorative and remain discreetly in the background.

Manufacturing process: Yumiko Shimoya follows the concept of Utsuwa ("ceramics that gently blend into everyday life") and produces beautiful vases and vessels using the Shinogi technique. Shinogi is a carving technique in which a pattern is carefully carved into the surface of the pottery using suitable tools. This technique has been used since ancient times and, despite its precision, is subject to subtle variations that are unique to the craft. The bowls are glazed.

- Yumiko Shimoya's vases and bowls should be washed by hand. Use clear water or at most gentle cleaning agents and no abrasive sponges.
- Dry the vessel carefully after cleaning to avoid water stains.
- Ceramic pots can be rougher on the underside than pots made of other materials. We therefore recommend protecting sensitive surfaces on which the jar is to be placed from scratching if necessary.
