About the object: Hergen Böttcher turns and carves these salt spoons by hand. Visually an eye-catcher due to its simplicity and small size and perfectly crafted, this spoon is truly unique due to its individual grain. The volume of a salt spoon corresponds approximately to the volume of half a teaspoon. Who needs such a fine lifting tool for white gold? Anyone with an appreciation for beauty on the dining table and in the kitchen or as a gift for a favorite person.
Manufacture: The product is made from fruit and garden wood from the Bremen region. The wood dries for several years before the objects are carved out of the wood. Hergen Böttcher selects the wood individually for each object and turns and carves by hand in such a way that the special characteristics of the tree's life remain visible: Color changes between heartwood and sapwood as well as ingrown knots. Growths or natural discolorations can give the pieces unique structures. Deformations or cracks are signs of the drying process and are just as intentional as long as they do not impair the function of the object.
